Complete Guide for Deye Cloud & Solarman Smart
If you’ve recently installed a Deye Hybrid Inverter, connecting it to WiFi allows you to monitor performance, track solar production, battery levels, and grid usage in real time.
This guide will walk you step-by-step through setting up:

Why Connect Your Deye Inverter to WiFi?
Connecting your inverter to WiFi allows you to:
- Monitor solar production in real time
- Track battery charge/discharge
- View load consumption
- Monitor grid import/export
- Access performance data remotely
- Receive alerts and fault notifications
Remote monitoring helps ensure your system is running optimally at all times.
Step 1: Check Your WiFi Data Logger
Most Deye inverters come with a WiFi data logger (dongle) pre-installed in the communication port underneath the inverter.
✔ Make sure the WiFi dongle is firmly inserted
✔ Ensure your router is within signal range
✔ 2.4GHz WiFi is required (5GHz networks are not supported)
Option 1: Setting Up Deye Cloud
Download the Deye Cloud App
Search for “Deye Cloud” on:
Install the app on your smartphone.
Create an Account
- Open the app
- Tap Register
- Enter your email address
- Create a password
- Verify your email
Once registered, log in.
Add Your Inverter
- Tap Add Plant
- Fill in:
- Plant Name (e.g., “Home Solar System”)
- Location
- Time zone
- Save
Next:
- Tap Add Device
- Scan the QR code on your WiFi data logger
OR - Manually enter the serial number (found on the dongle)
Connect the Inverter to WiFi
- Go to your phone’s WiFi settings
- Connect to the inverter’s hotspot (usually named AP_XXXXXX)
- Default password is often 12345678
- Open the Deye Cloud app
- Select your home WiFi network
- Enter your router password
- Confirm
The inverter will restart and connect to your WiFi network.
Option 2: Setting Up Solarman Smart App
Some Deye inverters use the Solarman Smart platform instead of Deye Cloud.
Download Solarman Smart
Search for “Solarman Smart” in the App Store or Google Play Store.
Register an Account
- Open the app
- Tap Register
- Enter email or phone number
- Create password
- Verify account
Add Your Plant
- Tap the “+” icon
- Select Create Plant
- Enter plant information:
- Name
- Location
- System capacity
- Save
Add Your Inverter
- Tap Add Device
- Scan the QR code on the WiFi logger
OR - Enter the serial number manually
Configure WiFi
- Connect your phone to the inverter hotspot (AP_XXXXXX)
- Open Solarman Smart
- Select your home WiFi
- Enter your WiFi password
- Confirm
Once connected, you should see real-time data within a few minutes.
How to Confirm Connection
Your inverter is successfully connected when:
- Online status shows “Connected”
- You can see live power flow diagrams
- PV production data is updating
- Battery levels are visible
If data does not update, check:
- Router signal strength
- 2.4GHz network enabled
- WiFi password entered correctly
- Dongle firmly connected
